Patna Residents Anxious as Enumeration Form Deadline Looms

Anxiety is mounting for residents in Patna as the July 25th deadline for the collection of Enumeration Forms (EFs) rapidly approaches. Despite the Election Commission’s assertion that 80% of the forms have been collected, many residents are still awaiting a visit from their Booth Level Officers (BLOs).

Residents Left Wondering if Their Voices Will Be Heard

Residents like Raju Sinha and Munna Singh are among those who have yet to submit their EFs. This delay has left them concerned about their inclusion in the upcoming voter list. “We haven’t seen any BLOs in our area yet,” shares Mr. Sinha, echoing the worries of many others who fear being disenfranchised.

Election Commission Claims 80% Collection Rate

The Election Commission maintains that their data indicates an 80% collection rate across Patna. However, the experiences of residents like Mr. Sinha and Mr. Singh paint a different picture on the ground. The gap between the official figures and the reality experienced by citizens raises questions about the effectiveness of the collection process.
