NMC Welcomes New Leader Amidst Assessment Concerns

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has appointed Dr. Abhijat Sheth as its new chairperson, bringing a fresh perspective to the organization following recent concerns surrounding assessment report irregularities. Dr. Sheth replaces Dr. B N Gangadhar, who resigned due to health reasons.

Dr. Sheth’s Extensive Experience in Medical Examination

Dr. Sheth brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He previously served as the president of the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), the body responsible for conducting the NEET-PG examinations. His familiarity with the intricacies of medical assessment and his leadership at the NBEMS make him a strong choice to lead the NMC forward.
