Man Steals Transformer to Dodge Rs 1.5 Lakh Power Bill in Bhind

A resident of Bhind district, Madhya Pradesh, took extreme measures to avoid paying a substantial electricity bill. Shriram Bihari Tripathi allegedly stole a 25 kV transformer, designed for agricultural use, to prevent his power from being disconnected due to outstanding dues of nearly Rs 1.5 lakh.

Desperate Act to Keep the Lights On

Tripathi, with the assistance of his son, dismantled the transformer and concealed it at their residence. This daring act highlights the lengths some individuals will go to when faced with mounting financial pressures.

Police Investigation Underway

Local authorities have registered a case against Tripathi and are currently working to recover the stolen transformer. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected to emerge as the case progresses. This incident raises concerns about electricity theft and its impact on the community.
