Kashmir Crackdown: Police Target Terror Financing, Seize Assets Worth Crores

In a significant move against terrorism in the Kashmir Valley, Jammu & Kashmir Police have intensified their crackdown on terror financing and support networks. Authorities have taken decisive action under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) to dismantle the terror ecosystem.

Properties Attached, Bank Accounts Frozen

The operation focused on seizing assets linked to terror activities in Sopore, Bandipora, and Kupwara districts. Police have frozen bank credits amounting to Rs 18.93 lakh and attached properties estimated to be worth over Rs 4 crore. These assets are believed to be connected to individuals with ties to Pakistan-based terror organizations.

Crackdown Aims to Disrupt Terror Networks

This crackdown is part of an ongoing effort by J&K Police to disrupt the financial flow to terror groups and weaken their operational capabilities. By targeting the financial infrastructure that supports these networks, authorities aim to curb terrorist activities and improve security in the region. The operation sends a strong message that those supporting terrorism will face serious consequences.
