Earthquake Tremors Rattle Delhi-NCR Again: 3.7 Magnitude Quake in Jhajjar

Residents of Delhi-NCR experienced another round of earthquake tremors on Friday evening, just a day after a similar event. This time, a 3.7 magnitude earthquake centered in Jhajjar, Haryana, was the source of the shaking.

Second Quake in Two Days Shakes the Region

This marks the second earthquake to impact the Delhi-NCR region in just two days, raising concerns about seismic activity in the area. Earlier this year, in February, tremors were also felt across the region, reminding residents of Delhi’s vulnerability to earthquakes.

Delhi’s Seismic Vulnerability: A Growing Concern

Delhi falls under Seismic Zone IV, classifying it as a high-risk area for earthquakes. The region’s proximity to active fault lines contributes to its susceptibility to tremors. These recurring earthquakes underscore the need for preparedness and awareness regarding earthquake safety measures in the Delhi-NCR region.
