Velsi Sir refined his competitive spirit during his university days, laying the foundation for his athletic journey.
His home village Amara and the National Arts and Sports Club stood firmly behind him, encouraging every stride. In 1991, his excellence was recognized with the Best Athlete Award from the Government of Kerala — a milestone that set him on the path toward a greater calling: coaching.
