Delhi-NCR Breathes Easier: Cooling Rain, Improved Air Quality

Delhi-NCR residents finally got a break from the scorching summer heat as welcome rain showers arrived in the evening, bringing much-needed relief. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted the rainfall and issued an orange alert for moderate to heavy downpours.

Temperature Dip and Humidity Fluctuations

The rain brought with it a noticeable drop in temperature, which remained slightly below average throughout the day. Humidity levels fluctuated, adding to the overall sense of relief from the oppressive heat.

Improved Air Quality a Welcome Bonus

As a welcome bonus, the rain also significantly improved the city’s air quality. The Air Quality Index (AQI) reached a satisfactory level, offering residents a breath of fresh, cleaner air.
