Ex-Kejriwal Aide Granted Permission for Sri Lanka Family Trip Despite Assault Allegations
Former aide to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Bibhav Kumar, has been granted permission by a Delhi court to travel to Sri Lanka for a family vacation. The trip, scheduled from August 13th to 22nd, comes amidst ongoing accusations of assault against AAP MP Swati Maliwal.
Court Cites Family Commitments, No Flight Risk
Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, the court determined that Kumar posed no flight risk. The decision considered his family obligations related to the trip and the fact that his passport renewal had previously been approved. Kumar had requested the travel permission to fulfill personal commitments.
Trip to Proceed as Planned
With the court’s approval, Kumar’s family vacation to Sri Lanka will proceed as scheduled. The court’s decision balances the need for Kumar to attend to his family commitments while ensuring his continued engagement with the legal process related to the assault allegations.
