Tejashwi Yadav Dismisses “Illegal Voter” Claims, Blames BJP for Voter List Issues
Bihar’s political scene heated up as RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav strongly refuted reports of illegal migrants from Bangladesh, Nepal, and Myanmar being registered as voters. He questioned the very foundation of these claims, expressing skepticism about the sources spreading this information.
Yadav Points Finger at BJP for Voter List Discrepancies
Instead of accepting the allegations, Yadav redirected the blame towards the BJP-led NDA government. He accused them of being responsible for any irregularities or dubious names present on the voter lists. He characterized the Election Commission’s special intensive revision (SIR) as an “eyewash,” suggesting it was ineffective in addressing the core issues.
Yadav’s “Sootra ko hum mootra samajhte hain” Remark
Adding a touch of colloquialism to his strong rebuttal, Yadav used the Hindi phrase “Sootra ko hum mootra samajhte hain” (We consider the sacred thread as urine), to dismiss the seriousness of the accusations. This remark further emphasized his disbelief and disdain towards the claims being made.
