Tragedy struck Kuno National Park on July 12, 2025, as eight-year-old Namibian cheetah, Nabha, succumbed to injuries sustained during a hunting attempt.
Remaining Cheetah Population Thriving
Despite the loss, the cheetah reintroduction project continues with 26 cheetahs remaining in Kuno National Park. This includes 17 cubs born in India, marking a significant milestone in the project’s success. All remaining cheetahs are reported to be in good health and adapting well to their new environment.
A Setback in Conservation Efforts
