Central Government Provides ₹1,066 Crore in Flood Relief to Six States

Communities devastated by recent floods and landslides in six states will receive much-needed financial support. The central government has approved and released ₹1,066.80 crore in relief funding.

Aid Distributed Through State Disaster Response Fund

The substantial aid package, drawn from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), is targeted towards Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Kerala, and Uttarakhand. These states have faced significant challenges due to severe flooding and landslides, causing widespread damage and displacement.

Relief Aims to Support Recovery and Rebuilding

This financial assistance will help the affected states provide essential resources to those impacted by the disasters. The funds are expected to be utilized for shelter, food, medical assistance, and the arduous task of rebuilding damaged infrastructure.
